That should not surprise you, should it? He only ever attacks those who are not his! He does not have to bother too much with his own servants and children, for they do his bidding continually, especially when they are at their religious best!
See every attack of the devil as a great confirmation that you do not belong to him, but to Christ. Praise God if you find yourself coming under his unwanted, unwelcome, and unpleasant attention. He is a very bad loser. And he has lost every Christian saved by God's sovereign grace.
How very much better it is for us to be under Satanic attack, than living without it! What a dire and frightening warning it is for every professing Christian who knows nothing of attacks of the devil! They ought to worried out of their minds!
But Christians who come under the special attention of the devil, while it is lost painful, ought to rejoice that their names are written in heaven.
