Praying

We are trusting totally in the gracious Lord to see XXX through this victoriously.  At the end of the day, we have no one else.  "He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think," according to his marvellous grace and mercy.  There is no limit to what our God can do.  It is humbling to know that He does not always do as we ask, any more than we always do what He asks of us.  But His grace is superabundant.  He gives and gives and gives more and more.  He is the giving God.  He gave His only begotten Son for the world, and did not spare even Him, giving Him up for us all; so He will not withhold any good thing from those who fear Him.  That's our God.

And it is to this same God that we pray.  Ask the sovereign Lord to touch XXX with His healing hand.  Our God loves to answer the prayers of His people.  Hold Him to that!

For us, it is the end result that counts - God's eternal glory and XXX's good.
